Origins of Onyx


Onyx has long said to embolden courage, strength and self-mastery. This is why throughout history warriors from various cultures used Onyx to inspire greatness. It's believed to bring increased vigor, strength, stamina, and self control. 

Onyx is a protective stone worn when facing adversaries in battles of conflicts of all kinds. Roman warriors often carved onyx stone into the images of Mars, the god of war, or a figure of the hero Hercules and carried them for courage. moreover,  Native Americans as well as Persians believed that wearing onyx protected them from the evil eye.
