SOTURI (so·turi) a Finnish word meaning Warrior. Commonly used as a literary term when alluding to ancient warriors. Warrior are fearless, strong and skilled; forever striving toward mastery of their craft.

As a retired Marine, I had a passion for watches and their history within military culture. That passion grew toward the most versatile watch accessory – watch straps. After diving into leathercraft between deployments, I set out to make some of my own straps and ended up enjoying the craft. With a plethora of leathercrafters already making high quality leather watch straps, I sought out to create something more unique...and as it turns out, more difficult. Utilizing cordura canvas and ripstop material from old military uniforms and bags, I learned to transform these materials in to high-quality watch straps with meticulous attention to detail using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. Soon after, I began creating bespoke straps for fellow servicemembers using repurposed materials. From there, Soturi was born.
